It is with great sadness that we have to report the passing of Janet Penn – a stalwart of the St Michael’s PCC, the village and a Friend of SMCS.
Janet organised the choir tea for our reunions and also provided the wreath that we laid on the Founder’s grave after Evensong.
She will be sorely missed by everyone and our deepest condolences go to Tony and the family.
Her funeral will be held this Friday (5th June) at St Michael’s at 12noon. Jenson Jones and Tim Coles will be attending to represent the Society, but if anyone else can make it please come along.
